Open House Day

On October 14, 2022, students of the Department of Metrology and Standardization of the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz Technical University were invited to a solemn event at the Kyrgyz Center for Standardization and Metrology (Kyrgyzstandard) dedicated to World Standards Day.

This is an annual holiday celebrated around the world on October 14 in honor of the founding of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1946. The theme for 2022, “Standards for Sustainable Development,” emphasized the role of standards in achieving the UN's sustainable development goals, ensuring quality of life, product safety, and environmental protection.

The department's students had a unique opportunity to see how the knowledge they gain in class is put into practice: from the development of technical regulations to product quality control in the Kyrgyz market. Such events help students better understand their future profession and inspire them to take their studies seriously.

We thank Kyrgyzstandart for the warm welcome and invitation—this is an excellent example of cooperation between universities and government agencies in training highly qualified specialists!
