DAAD programms
The dual degree program within the framework of DAAD DSG was launched in 2024 in the new field of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology for Kyrgyzstan.
The purpose of the program is to introduce the German-language specialized curriculum “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology” as an in-depth full-time master's degree course in the dual degree program. This contributes to the expansion of the German-language curriculum at TU Ilmenau in accordance with the needs and international standards. The main focus is on good professional training for masters and teachers, combined with the acquisition of competencies in the field of German professional language. Thus, the program helps to strengthen the position of the German language in science, economics and society in the target regions, as well as the creation of effective and internationally interconnected partner universities. The program provides support:
1. Masters, young scientists and teachers who participate in the framework of mobility and improve their skills at a partner university in Germany.
2. Masters, young scientists and teachers who expand their knowledge of the German language.
3.TU Ilmenau offers a (German-speaking) curriculum and courses appropriate to the local context and the level of scientific development.
4. Creation of a network of graduates of this program.
The first 2 semesters of study are conducted at KSTU , followed by 2-3 semesters at TU Ilmenau.
DAAD is a German academic exchange service that allows German students and scientists from other countries to receive funding to study in Germany, as well as to travel to other countries for German students. DAAD offers a number of scholarship programs, but most of the scholarships are awarded to graduate students, postgraduates, and scientists. Over the years, DAAD has received funding from more than 2.1 million people.
What expenses do DAAD scholarships cover? DAAD scholarships cover all the basic expenses of the contestants, namely:
Transportation costs (partially);
Medical insurance;
Accommodation in Germany: The monthly scholarship varies depending on the program and is usually 850 Euros per month for university graduates and 1,200 Euros for graduate students. But since studying at public universities in Germany is free or requires only a small fee, this amount allows you to get a German education for almost free, as well as cover all the basic expenses of the student.
