​The Institute of Transport and Robotics was established on the foundation of the oldest faculty of the I. Razzakov KSTU — the Faculty of Transport and Mechanical Engineering. Its founding in 1954 marked the beginning of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute, which later evolved into the Iskhak Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University.

​The Institute’s educational focus is dedicated to training highly qualified engineers in the following fields:

670200 - OPERATION OF TRANSPORT AND TECHNOLOGICAL MACHINES AND COMPLEXES;

670300 - TECHNOLOGY OF TRANSPORT PROCESSES;

700300 - AUTOMATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES AND PRODUCTION (by industry);

700500 - MECHATRONICS AND ROBOTICS;

700600 - STANDARTIZATION AND METROLOGY (by industry);
 


Education is offered in full-time, part-time, and distance learning formats:

     Full-time – 4 years

     Part-time – 5 years

Colleges and technical schools: 

     full-time – 3 years, 

     part-time – 4 years

Distance learning – 5 years

State-funded and contract-based education is available based on final scores on the National Test (NRT) (subject test in physics or mathematics).
