Job responsibilities of the director of the Institute/higher school:
1. Develops a strategy for the development of the institute/higher school, ensures systematic interaction with employers, educational authorities, enterprises;
2. Responsible for the functioning of the quality management system within the institute/higher school;
3. Studies the educational services market and the labor market in the areas (profiles) of bachelor's and master's degrees at the institute/higher school, ensures that the labor market requirements are taken into account in the educational process at the institute/higher school;
4. Directs educational, methodical, educational and scientific work at the institute/higher school;
5. Heads the work on the creation and implementation of educational programs, curricula, and training course programs in the fields of the institute/higher school;
6. Organizes work on the creation of scientific, methodological and educational support for the educational process;
7. Participates in the development of a quality system for training specialists;
8. Coordinates the activities of the heads of departments of the Institute/higher school, students and postgraduates;
9. Ensures the implementation of the State and educational standards of KSTU;
10. Creates conditions for the formation of students (undergraduates, undergraduates) of the main components of competence, ensuring the success of future professional activities of graduates;
11. Participates in the development of the staffing table, taking into account the volume and forms of educational, scientific, educational and other types of work performed at the institute/higher school;
12. Organizes and conducts vocational orientation work and ensures the admission of students to the institute / higher school, manages their professional training;
13. Directs the work on scheduling training sessions, taking exams, tests, monitors and summarizes their results.;

16. Carries out the transfer of students from course to course, as well as their admission to the examination sessions. Grants permission to take and retake course exams ahead of schedule.
17. Decides on the admission of students to take state exams and to defend their final qualifying work.;
18. Submits to enrollment, expulsion and reinstatement of students;
19. Submits scholarships to students of the Institute/higher school in accordance with the regulations on scholarship provision for students;
20. Carries out the general management and coordination of students' research conducted at departments, laboratories, scientific student circles, scientific student societies;
21. Organizes communication with graduates, studying the quality of training of specialists produced by the institute / higher school;
22. Supervises the employment of graduates of the institute/higher school who studied under targeted contract training agreements;
23. Ensures the introduction of new technologies of teaching and control of students' knowledge, ensures the introduction of differentiated and individual training in the process of their education;
24. Directs the work on the formation of personnel policy at the institute / higher school, carries out, together with the heads of departments, the selection of staff of teaching staff, internal affairs and organizes their professional development;
25. Performs the replacement of teaching staff positions in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and regulations approved by the rector.
26. Organizes and conducts educational and methodological interdepartmental meetings, seminars, scientific and methodological meetings and conferences;
27. Organizes, supervises and participates in the international educational and scientific activities of the Institute/higher school;
28. Directs the preparation and work of the Academic Council of the Institute/higher School, develops its work plans, coordinates them with the university's work plans, and is responsible for their implementation;
29. Carries out general management of the preparation of textbooks, educational and teaching aids in the subjects of departments that are part of the Institute / higher school, coordinates their review, organizes the publication of educational and methodological literature;
30. Participates in the educational and research activities of the institute / higher school, ensures the performance of scientific work and the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, reports on his work to the Academic Council of the Institute / higher school and the university on the main issues of educational, research, scientific and methodological activities;
31. Organizes the work and carries out scientific and methodological cooperation of departments and other departments of the institute/higher school with educational institutions, enterprises and organizations;
32. Provides communication with single-industry educational institutions in order to improve the content, technology and forms of organization of students' education;
33. Organizes the work on self-examination of the institute/higher school and ensures the preparation of documents for licensing and accreditation of training areas (specialties);
34. Organizes the preparation and submission by the institute/higher school of current and accounting documentation to the university management;
35. Carries out work on strengthening and developing the material and technical base of the institute/higher school;
36. Present by choice at teaching staff training sessions, as well as during exams;
37. Develops and implements measures to improve the educational process and improve the quality of bachelor's and master's degree training;
38. Organizes and monitors the implementation of the rules on occupational safety and fire safety by the teaching staff and the Department of Internal Affairs, students of the Institute/higher school;
