Graduates of the department work in various sectors of the economy: mechanical engineering, food, light, textile, mining, electrical industry. The field of activity of engineers in these specialties is the development, operation and implementation of automated control systems for production processes; repair, operation and maintenance of metal-cutting machines and equipment; operation of existing and design of new robots and robotic systems; creation of control and diagnostic devices used in various industries, their certification and standardization; creation of information-measuring complexes for product quality control.
