Round Table on “Current Challenges in Economics and Management: Secrets of Successful Business”
On November 13, 2025, the Department of Management of the Higher School of Economics and Business (HSEB) at KSTU named after I. Razzakov organized a round table on the topic “Current Challenges in Economics and Management: Secrets of Successful Business.” Within this theme, participants were presented with a report in English focusing on a specialized topic: “AI and the New Production Revolution” and the impact of artificial intelligence on the modern production revolution and the subsequent transformation of business models.
The leading lecturer was a guest expert from the United Kingdom, volunteer Alex Stepanyuk. The report examined the fundamental aspects of the influence of AI technologies on the transformation of the modern business environment: from optimizing managerial decision-making processes to innovative approaches in customer interaction and value generation.
The historical continuity of technological revolutions and the challenges they addressed was emphasized:
- The introduction of the steam engine provided the energy foundation for production;
- Electrification contributed to increased operational flexibility;
- Artificial intelligence aims to minimize inefficiencies in managerial decision-making.
Special attention during the discussion was given to the prospects of AI integration and the enhancement of digital competence in local business structures in Kyrgyzstan to stimulate economic growth and scale business operations.
The discussion between students and the lecturer was very lively. Participants showed great interest in the topic, actively discussed the raised issues, and asked numerous clarifying questions: How exactly does AI help businesses find new clients? Will AI lead to job losses? What are the key secrets to successfully using AI in business?
“AI will not replace humans—but a human who knows how to use AI will replace one who does not.”
Guest Lecture on “The Impact of Corruption on the Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic”
On November 11, 2025, at the N. Isanov Campus Base of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, within the framework of Science Week, the Department of Management of the Higher School of Economics and Business (HSEB) organized a guest lecture by Professor Tilek Sayakbaev on “The Impact of Corruption on the Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
Professor Sayakbaev T.S. highlighted one of the most pressing and sensitive issues — corruption as a violation of official duties for personal gain. During the lecture, he noted that the UN Convention against Corruption does not provide a precise definition of “corruption,” but it does list the main types of corrupt acts.
In his presentation, the lecturer covered key aspects of the problem in detail: anti-corruption policies, classification of types of corruption, the Corruption Perception Index, as well as economic behavior models and causes of bribery. Special attention was given to research conducted in Kyrgyzstan, analysis of economic losses, and evaluation of the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures.
Professor Sayakbaev successfully engaged the audience, raising questions of morality, law, and ethics. Students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions and sharing their opinions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Sayakbaev emphasized that professional success is not only career advancement and material well-being, but also personal self-realization, social recognition, and the transfer of professional skills.
HSEB and the Department of Management express their gratitude to Professor Tilek Sayakbaev for his in-depth analysis, engaging presentation, and inspiring interaction with students.
At KSTU named after I. Razzakov, the Transformation of Higher Education through Dual and Project-Based Learning Was Discussed
On April 3, 2025, at the N. Isanov Campus of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, a round table was held, organized by the Higher School of Economics and Business. The meeting focused on “Dual and Project-Based Learning: Transformation of Higher Education in Kyrgyzstan.” The Department of Management actively participated, inviting its partners — representatives of various companies and production enterprises.
Among the invited were OsOO “Dan Agro Products,” the construction company Level Construction, OsOO “Blandgroup,” Gazpromneft, and ZAO “Bank Asman.” During the meeting, representatives of the university and employers delivered reports and presentations, emphasizing the need to implement dual learning — a model in which students combine theoretical education at the university with practical work in their specialty.
During the discussion, it was noted that dual learning allows for the preparation of more qualified specialists who meet labor market requirements. Business representatives expressed their readiness to cooperate with universities and highlighted the importance of this form of collaboration.
Particularly lively discussions arose around proposals to expand the practical component in educational programs. Faculty and employers agreed that new approaches to learning require flexibility, support, and open dialogue among all parties.
